2006 Madden Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon

The first ever Madden Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon produced wholly from cab grapes from famed football coach John Madden's vineyard in the Livermore Valley.  Winemaker Tom Doczy personally picked out each row of fruit and carefully controlled the management of the vineyard rows. At harvest, it was hand-picked and sorted by family and friends.  Only the finest oak barrels were used during the 21 months of aging - it is truly a special, hand and heart-crafted wine! Great cab flavors are apparent up front, then it lingers on your palate as you savor its long, delicious finish.  This wine is very drinkable now without harsh tannins, but could easily lay down in your cellar for several years- if you can wait that long! Around 190 cases where produced. For those who wish to purchase 2 or more cases, we will include one bottle that is signed by both John Madden and Tom Doczy (while supplies last as there is a very limited supply) - this wine is a real treasure to own! We will also include two commemorative crystal 16 oz wine glasses with each case purchase. Don't miss out on this first ever Cabernet Sauvignon from Madden Ranch!

Cost: $ 38.00 each, $ 410.40 per case of 12

Check out the great accolades we received from KCBS's Narsai David for our new 2006 Madden Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon.

Gold Medal - San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition Jan 9, 2009

Our first Madden Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon wins a GOLD medal - wow - are we happy! This wine deserves the award - it is absolutely an outstanding Cabernet. The vineyard rows were hand selected by Tom, hand picked at Harvest and hand sorted. Barrel aging in French and American Oak for 20 months gave it great complexity. All the work paid off!
