2003 Epic

A wine specialty store recently stated” a new effort that should appeal to any Cabernet lover, with its gutsy structure and dark imbued blackberry fruit. Funny thing, there’s no Cab in the mix. Hey, it drinks great!” We agree. Don’t attempt to anticipate its taste; it will only lead you astray. A BBQ of pork tenderloin will complement it nicely.

This wine was recently honored by a very complimentary review by Narsai David on KCBS radio’s Food and Wine news.

Young but still so good. This Zin Blend wine will continue to get better. Nice tannins and zippy fruit. It can lay down for a couple years or drink now - its great!
Gold Medal - Riverside International Wine Competition - May 5, 2007
Wow - Epic wins again! This wine just keeps getting better. NIce peppery flavor with definite floral notes on the nose. Great long finish.

Ratings

Deep red color, bright blackberry aromas lead to a very firm wine. Strange, but it almost seems like some Cabernet in it. It's actually equal parts of Petite Sirah and zinfandel with some Syrah. This would be perfect with barbecue, but would really benefit from a few years aging.
